Pake turns a website into a macOS, Windows, or Linux desktop application through a command-line tool or a GitHub Actions build. Its Tauri-based packages support custom icons, window settings, shortcuts, styling, and selected page behavior while remaining much smaller than typical Electron bundles. Beginners can use ready-made packages or online builds, while local packaging requires a Rust and Node development environment.

Amazon Q Developer CLI brings an agentic chat workflow to the command line, letting developers use natural-language requests while building applications. The open-source project is no longer actively maintained and will receive only critical security fixes; current feature development has moved to the closed-source Kiro CLI.

winapp CLI brings Windows SDK setup, package identity, manifests, certificates, signing, and MSIX packaging into a single command-line workflow for .NET, C++, Electron, Rust, Tauri, Flutter, and other frameworks. It can also be used in CI/CD pipelines, but the project is still in public preview and the main branch may differ from released builds.

appify generates a real macOS `.app` bundle around a terminal UI command, giving tools such as btop or weechat their own window, Dock icon, and Cmd+Tab entry. Run it with the target command and optionally set the application name, icon, bundle identifier, working directory, window size, or bundled Ghostty configuration. Generated apps embed their own GPU-accelerated Ghostty terminal engine, so users do not need an existing Ghostty installation. The tool is specifically for macOS rather than a cross-platform app packager.
