SimpleX Chat routes messages through disposable relay queues and uses pairwise connection identifiers instead of a global username or account identifier. Mobile, desktop, and terminal clients are available, and users can run their own messaging servers. The platform is still relatively early, so people relying on it for sensitive workflows should evaluate its current limitations and possible bugs.

TextGen provides portable desktop builds and a web interface for loading local models, including GGUF files, and using them for chat, vision, document questions, and free-form generation. It can switch among several inference backends and expose OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible endpoints with tool calling and MCP support. Core use can remain fully offline with no telemetry, while training, additional backends, image generation, and some extensions require the full installation.

gws is an unofficial CLI for people and AI agents to work with Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, and other Workspace APIs without hand-writing REST calls. It builds commands from Google's Discovery Service and returns structured JSON, with pagination, schema, and request-preview helpers. A Google account and Cloud project are required, and pre-1.0 releases may introduce breaking changes.

Zulip is an open-source team chat server and web application built around topic-based threads. Messages stay grouped by subject, helping teams combine real-time discussion with asynchronous work without losing the surrounding context. The project is used by remote teams and open-source communities, and organizations can try the public development chat or follow the documentation to run their own service.
