Yank Note is an extensible Markdown editor that keeps documents as local Markdown files. It adds version history, encrypted files, diagrams and mind maps, runnable code blocks, an integrated terminal, user plugins, and AI-assisted completion or generation through several providers. Its extensibility intentionally permits command execution and broad file access, so untrusted Markdown files should not be opened. Encrypted documents also depend on the user retaining the password, because normal recovery is not available.
