Rename files from their contents using local or hosted language models.
ai-renamer is a Node.js command-line tool that examines images, videos, and other files to create descriptive filenames. It works with Ollama by default and can also use LM Studio or OpenAI, with options for model choice, filename casing, output language, subdirectories, and custom instructions. Video renaming requires ffmpeg, and selected flags are stored in a local configuration file so repeated runs do not need the same setup arguments.
