Combine terminal, code editing, Git, preview, and agents in one workspace.
Terax is a lightweight cross-platform development workspace that combines a native multi-tab terminal, code editor, file explorer, Git graph, and local web preview in one desktop app. Its AI side panel can use your own keys for hosted providers or connect to local models through LM Studio, MLX, and Ollama. Agent workflows include plans, sub-agents, project memory, file editing, and approval-gated shell commands. At roughly 7–8 MB, with no account and no telemetry, it targets developers who prefer a terminal-first workflow without losing project navigation and visual review.
