Search and preview local videos and images through a gallery-style desktop browser.
Orbital turns folders of local videos and images into a gallery-style desktop library, making it easier for editors and photographers to scan large media collections. It searches filenames across subfolders, supports keyboard-driven previews, and lets users drag media directly into applications such as iMovie or DaVinci Resolve. The workflow is local-first, so files do not need to be uploaded to a hosted service. Its source is available, but the author explicitly asks users not to redistribute packaged builds.
