RapidRAW is a lightweight RAW editor for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, using a GPU-accelerated 32-bit processing pipeline for responsive, non-destructive adjustments. It includes layer masks, subject and sky detection, and optional generative edits through an AI backend. For high-resolution RAW files and complex masking, the project recommends at least 16 GB of memory and a reasonably modern dedicated GPU.

JS Paint recreates the tools and menus of classic Microsoft Paint in a web application, with touch support, themes, extra file types, and accessibility-oriented controls. Users can load images from URLs, upload to Imgur, and create experimental multi-user sessions. Those sessions are explicitly not private and may interrupt each other or lose work, so they are unsuitable for dependable collaborative editing.

BetterShot is a local-first macOS menu-bar app for region, window, and full-screen capture, screen recording, OCR, and color picking. Its floating preview opens an editor for annotations, backgrounds, padding, shadows, cropping, and video trimming, with MP4 export and drag-to-app workflows; it uses no cloud service, subscription, or telemetry.

AI Runner combines an offline conversational companion with configurable personality, voice, and memory, plus a layered canvas for generating and editing images. It can also run headlessly and expose local LLM, image, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech functions over HTTP. Docker is the recommended setup, while manual installation requires Python 3.13 and a substantial set of system dependencies.
