Create common files directly from the macOS Finder context menu.
MacNewFile adds a Windows-style “new file” action to Finder and the macOS desktop. From the context menu, users can create text, Markdown, Microsoft Office, or Apple iWork documents, copy the current folder path, or open a terminal there. The standard build can be installed through Homebrew or a release download, while the configurable settings version requires building the app in Xcode. FinderSync no longer works inside iCloud directories, and the non-notarized installation may require additional macOS security approval.
