Glance creates a self-hosted start page that brings RSS feeds, calendars, streaming channels, and other widgets into one streamlined dashboard. Pages, columns, themes, and widget settings are defined in YAML, making the layout easy to keep in version control. It can run as a small standalone binary or through Docker, which suits personal start pages and homelab dashboards.

Homepage is a customizable start page for homelabs and self-hosted services. It combines application links, bookmarks, search, weather, system information, Docker container status, and service-specific widgets in one dashboard, configured through YAML or automatic Docker label discovery. Backend API requests are proxied to keep credentials away from the browser. When the dashboard is reachable from an untrusted network, it must be protected by an authenticated TLS reverse proxy or VPN with strict host validation.
