AGENTS.md defines a predictable, open file format for giving coding agents project context and instructions. Teams can record environment tips, testing commands, and pull-request rules in one place, while the accompanying site explains the format and shows a minimal example.

MDA is a Markdown-based specification and CLI for maintaining agent-facing documents from one source. Authors write a single .mda file and compile it into SKILL.md, AGENTS.md, MCP-SERVER.md, and CLAUDE.md outputs, with JSON Schema validation, typed relationships, dependency metadata, content digests, and signature fields. It is intended for authoring and CI checks rather than as an application runtime dependency. A bundled signature verifier, dependency resolver, and central registry are not yet included.

Anthropic Skills collects Claude skill examples, the Agent Skills specification, and a starter template for document, development, enterprise, communication, and creative tasks. The repository can be registered as a Claude Code plugin marketplace, and its example skills can also be used through Claude.ai or the API. A custom skill is a directory containing a SKILL.md file with YAML frontmatter and instructions. Most examples use Apache 2.0, while the document-creation skills are source-available rather than open source.
